Information About Heirloom Fine Portraits

I want to take this opportunity to thank you for visiting our web site and to give you some more information about Heirloom Fine Portraits. Our studio was "born" in 1990, one year after my now 6'4" son was born. My name is Sue Doerner and I truly have passion for creating portraits that are works of art. Heirloom Fine Portraits was our dream and we have been working to make dreams come true ever since. These past 16 years, I have traveled all over the world to become a "Photographic Artist" and to work on my craft (I also love to see many wonderful people and places).

Since becoming a photographic artist, I have been honored with the following awards and credentials:

  • Colorado Photographer of the Year Four times, 2006, 2005, 2000, 1999
  • Master of Photography- Professional Photographers of America
  • Photographic Craftsman Degree- Professional Photographers of America
  • Certified Professional Photographer- Professional Photographers of America
  • Approved Instructor- Professional Photographers of America
  • Fuji Film Talent Team Educator
  • Past President, Colorado Professional Photographers

I consider it an honor to create a work of art and an heirloom for you and your family. All of our portraits include a 100% satisfaction guarantee.

We are located in Ken Caryl Valley of Littleton, Colorado in a comfortable home environment. Our grounds include two water ponds and various gardens set amidst 1,000 acres of natural open space and the beautiful red rock formations of Ken Caryl Valley.

In order to provide you with the attention you deserve, we are open by appointment only and are closed on Sundays and Thursdays.

Designing your Work of Art

It all begins with a Design Consultation where we explore your ideas for creating a WORK OF ART to fit your home and tastes. We will ask questions about your family, home and preferences. You can bring pictures of the wall and room where you are planning to display the WORK OF ART. This really helps in designing your portrait for your home. If you wish, Sue will come to your home and measure the area in your home at no additional charge.

Our goal for this consultation to design your WORK OF ART to match your style. Feel free to bring the children since it is a great time for them to get acquainted with our studio and to meet Sue. You can also preview gift items and photographic accessories like photo gallery boxes, purses, and jewelry.

Creation Fees

This fee includes the Design Consultation and photographic session. Fees vary depending on the location you choose. A one hour family session in the Ken Caryl Valley $95. Large family gatherings over 6 are $150 with a minimum $500 purchase. Children's session fees are $65. Fees are higher for Saturday sessions from June to December.

It is best if both husband and wife attend without small children: you can make it a date. This allows you to focus attention on the slide show set to music and to discuss your selections. Think ahead about the special people you would like to order or accessories such as frames, brag books etc. Consider grandparents, aunts, uncles, godparents etc. Be prepared to place your order at this time to enjoy the best pricing options.
